Hindu Tamil Thisai Newspaper in association with Hindusthan Newspaper organised an interaction event ‘Vanthaarukkum Vazhuvu Undu’ at Shree Coimbatore Gujarati Samaj, Coimbatore on Saturday, assuring the participants to provide a safe and harmonious atmosphere for them in the state of Tamil Nadu.

D. Rajkumar, General Manager, HIndu Tamil Thisai, welcomed the gathering and said, “Migrant workers must be more vigilant and should not believe the  fake news spread among social media.”

“Creating awareness among the workers is the need of the hour and hence two leading Newspaper organisations have joined together to conduct the event. There are 34 lakh migrant workers across Tamil Nādu working in various sectors. We have the responsibility in ensuring safety to everyone. This event is held mainly to create awareness and convey the ground reality which prevails in Tamil Nādu especially among the family members of migrant workers,” he added.

Commissioner of Police (Coimbatore City), V.Balakrishnan said, “All the news related to migrant workers which were shared among the social media are continuously monitored. This activity will continue which would ensure no rumours are spread in future also. Police officials are visiting all the industry premises regularly and interacting with both the industrialists and workers to raise the  confidence regarding the safety. Migrant workers can dial ‘1077’ at any time  to lodge any discomfort they overcome. Needy actions would be taken upon immediately. We ensure strict actions would be taken against those who involve in violence activities.”

Hindu Tamil Thisai, Editor, K. Asokan, said, “All the Fake news regarding migrant workers were shared only through unofficial medias. Few Irresponsible persons have spread fake news and created fear. Media has the role and responsibility to break the efforts taken by antisocial elements who are against the Nations development. The Hindu Newspaper organisation from the beginning  stresses  the UNITY and stand firmly against the differences made in the name of Language, state, etc. I met and spoke with few migrant workers from Tirupur who said that they are so grateful to Tamil peoples who helped them to overcome and survive the difficult times during the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. Likewise in another incident at Tiruppur a migrant worker has helped a pregnant Tamil woman to get admitted at hospital for delivery. The work shown by the workers will play a vital role in our Nations development.”

Hindustan Newspaper Executive Editor Tir Vijay Singh (Bihar, Jarkand), said, “We are happy to jointly organise an event along with Hindu Tamil Thisai. Whenever a problem arise, we have the responsibility to handle it in a proper manner. I feel proud in speaking before the peoples who have handled the fake news issue properly. By seeing in person i can understand how safely the migrant workers are living here. Tamilnadu peoples are disciplined and will concentrate in doing their work.

“We may born at one place, work at different place. But we all are Indians. All citizens have right to work at anywhere. Those who left to their hometown following the fake news spread has now started to return back to Tamil Nādu Happily. Both Tamil Nādu and Bihar state governments and the DGPS of both the states have jointly taken action at the right time which has ensured the situation to return to normalcy very soon,” he added.

Both Industrialists and Workers live together as family. The relationship between North India and Tamil Nādu in Cotton and Yarn business prevails before 75 years.  We all the industrialists take the whole responsibility ensuring safety and peace to all the migrant workers.

Mainly tell the parents about the real ground situation and how safe workers are living in Tamil Nādu. Continue to work happily.”
