The Board of renowned South based production house Kavithalayaa Productions has appointed Elara Capital’s Karan Taurani as an Independent Director.
Karan is known for his deep understanding on Indian Media and Entertainment ecosystem and his quick observations and forecasts on various industry developments are studiously followed by the industry leaders. He was ranked as top analyst in Media and Entertainment sector for the past three consecutive years in Asia Money Broker Analyst Polls.
Kavithalayaa Productions was founded by Padma Shree and Dadasaheb Phalke Awardee, (late) Dr K Balachander in 1981. It has completed 42 years in the business of production of feature films, television content, OTT shows and educational films/documentaries.
Kavithalayaa has produced 58 films featuring prominent South film stars like Rajinikanth, who has been featured in 10 films produced by the company since 1982. Over the years, Kavithalayaa has established a strong reputation and a well-respected Media and Entertainment brand in the South. Kavithalayaa has produced over 110+ serials for television viewers amounting to 2500 hours of content.
