Mumbai: Gaurav Gokhale has announced on online professional networking site Linkedin that he is starting a new position as Head of Special Projects – Digital at Viacom18 Media. He will be handling strategic initiatives for JioCinema.
Earlier he was Entrepreneur in Residence at the Planet Marathi Group. He worked alongside the Founder and investors of Planet Marathi, which is a regional OTT platform, to ready the business for the next phase of funding-led growth. He had prepared a five-year investment thesis and identified future areas of expansion, with a vision to become one of India’s biggest home-grown multi-language streaming businesses and the first-ever vertically-integrated studio-to-delivery venture.
He has had stints in companies like the Endemol Shine Group, Star TV and Nimbus.
