Mumbai: The spotlight was firmly on creative excellence at the Specialist Abby Awards 2025 powered by One Show, as leading agencies in India’s advertising and marketing landscape were recognized across Design, Technology, and Direct categories. The awards, presented under the prestigious ABBYs umbrella, celebrated breakthrough ideas, design innovation, and technological prowess in brand communication.

Y&H Leads the Design Charge

Y&H emerged as the Design Specialist Agency of the Year, topping the charts with 52 points, thanks to an impressive haul of 3 Silver, 8 Bronze, and 1 Merit. Their compelling body of work edged out close contenders:

  • Famous Innovations followed closely with 44 points, driven by 4 Silver and 5 Bronze wins.
  • OPEN Strategy & Design Pvt Ltd rounded out the top three with 30 points, fueled by 2 Silver, 4 Bronze, and 1 Merit award.

Other notable mentions include McCann Worldgroup India and Tribes Communication, demonstrating the rising quality and competitiveness in Indian design capabilities.

Technology: A Tie at the Top

In a rare outcome, the Technology Specialist Agency of the Year title was jointly awarded to Leo India and Mindshare, both securing 10 points. While Leo India stood out with 1 Silver and 2 Merits, Mindshare impressed the jury with 1 Silver, 1 Bronze, and 1 Merit.

Close contenders included:

  • ^a t o m network, Cheil India, and Enormous, each earning 8 points.
  • Good Morning Films was the only agency in the tech category to win a Gold.
  • A wide spread of agencies—16 in total—earned recognition, showcasing how technology-led storytelling and innovation are transforming Indian advertising.
Leo India Dominates Direct Specialist Category

Leo India continued its strong showing, bagging the Direct Specialist Agency of the Year title with 40 points. The agency swept the competition with 3 Gold, 5 Silver, 1 Bronze, and 1 Merit, setting a high benchmark in direct marketing effectiveness.

Other top performers included:

  • Famous Innovations with 30 points, buoyed by 5 Silver and 3 Bronze awards.
  • FCB India, the only agency to clinch a Grand Prix, closed with 26 points.
  • Enormous garnered 24 points with 1 Gold and 3 Bronze awards.

The results reflect a growing emphasis on data-driven creativity and targeted engagement, with many agencies successfully blending strategy with emotion.

The 2025 edition of the Specialist Abby Awards was a testament to the diversity, innovation, and resilience of India’s creative ecosystem. From design finesse to tech integration and direct-to-consumer storytelling, agencies showcased work that pushes boundaries and redefines consumer experiences.
