Mumbai: FCB Interface has strengthened its creative leadership with the appointment of Swati Balani as Executive Creative Director. In this role, Balani will lead integrated creative mandates spanning mainline, digital, content, and social. Her focus will be on building brand ideas that are strategically robust, culturally relevant, and scalable across platforms.
Balani brings over 15 years of diverse experience in advertising and creative leadership. She most recently served as Executive Creative Director at BBH India, a role she held from September 2023 to March 2025. During her tenure, she shaped compelling brand narratives and led cross-platform creative strategies for a range of brands.
Prior to BBH, she was the Creative Head – Digital at Sideways Consulting, where she focused on digital-first storytelling and platform-native brand thinking. She also spent nearly eight years at AutumnGrey (now part of Wunderman Thompson), rising through the ranks to become Executive Creative Director. At AutumnGrey, she played a key role in driving category-defining campaigns for clients like Microsoft, Exide Life, and Pepsico.
Balani began her advertising career in 2009 at Ogilvy, and has since worked with several leading agencies including DDB, Draft FCB Ulka, Mullen, and Apnapaisa. Her career spans digital, copywriting, and integrated brand building, making her a well-rounded creative professional.
Beyond advertising, Balani is also an entrepreneur. In 2021, she launched Beaten and Baked, a homegrown dessert brand that reflects her creative flair and passion outside the professional sphere.
