Mumbai: Zee Studios, the movies business vertical of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEE), has once again brought pride to the nation by winning six prestigious awards at the 71st National Film Awards, reaffirming its position as a powerhouse of content and a champion of meaningful, multi-lingual storytelling.
These wins mark a significant milestone for Zee Studios, reflecting its unwavering commitment to producing impactful narratives that transcend language and cultural boundaries. The studio’s films were recognized across a range of categories, from mainstream cinema to regional gems, children’s films, and debut projects—setting a new standard in Indian filmmaking.
The award-winning titles and categories include:
- Best Actress (Lead Role): Rani Mukherji for her stellar performance in Mrs. Chatterjee V/s Norway
- Best Children’s Film: Naal 2 (Marathi)
- Best Child Artist: Treesha Thosar, Shrinivas Pokale, and Bhargav Jagtap for Naal 2
- Best Dialogue: Deepak Kingrani for Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai
- Best Debut Film of a Director: Aatmapamphlet
- Best Punjabi Feature Film: Godday Godday Chaa
In addition to these wins, 12th Fail, distributed by Zee Studios, clinched two top honours:
- Best Feature Film
- Best Actor (Lead Role): Vikrant Massey
The National Film Awards, instituted by the Government of India in 1954, remain the highest recognition in Indian cinema. The 71st edition’s winners were announced by Shri Ashutosh Gowariker (Feature Film Jury Chairperson), Shri P. Sheshadri (Non-Feature Film Jury Chairperson), and Dr. Ajay Nagabhushan MN, Joint Secretary (Films), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, alongside Ms. Mattu J. P. Singh, Director General, PIB.
