New Delhi: In a major push to rejuvenate and elevate Sri Lanka’s appeal as a preferred travel destination among Indian tourists, Red Hat Communications, a leading travel communications and marketing firm, has entered into a strategic partnership with Classic Destinations, one of Sri Lanka’s premier travel and tour companies. This collaboration aims to promote Sri Lanka’s tourism offerings through a comprehensive campaign across key Tier-1 and Tier-2 Indian cities.
The campaign will spotlight Sri Lanka’s cultural richness, pristine landscapes, heritage sites, and varied travel experiences—from serene beaches and lush tea estates to wildlife adventures and sacred temples. With the Indian outbound travel market showing robust recovery and significant potential post-pandemic, the initiative seeks to capture growing interest from Indian travelers and bolster inbound tourism to Sri Lanka.
Under the partnership, Red Hat Communications will lead roadshows, destination showcases, influencer partnerships, and training workshops for travel agents—starting with Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, and later expanding to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur.
Speaking on the partnership, Jyoti Mayal, CEO of Red Hat Communications, said, “India and Sri Lanka share deep-rooted cultural and historical ties. Through these roadshows, our goal is to engage travel trade partners and consumers alike, creating awareness, building interest, and ultimately driving footfall to Sri Lanka. Classic Destinations brings unmatched on-ground expertise, and together, we are committed to unlocking Sri Lanka’s true tourism potential in India. With our dynamic & effective team based in North, South, East & West India dedicated to supporting Classic Destinations, we’re confident that this partnership will add a new dimension, support, and additional revenue streams for our travel partners.”
