Mumbai-Veteran journalist Rajkishore has rejoined Amar Ujala Group, taking charge as Senior Political Editor. In this role, he will oversee coverage of national political developments across the organisation’s print and digital platforms.
Rajkishore’s association with Amar Ujala dates back to the early 2000s, when he began as Chief Reporter in Kanpur and was part of the core team that launched the group’s Punjab and Haryana editions in 2000. His return marks a significant step in the media house’s editorial strengthening.
Over the past two decades, Rajkishore has built a diverse career across leading media organisations. Most recently, he founded and managed Buland Bharat TV, a digital news platform launched two years ago. Earlier, he headed Dainik Bhaskar’s digital division as Managing Editor and served as Executive Director of the India chapter of the think tank Global Policy Insights. He has also been associated with India Today Group’s digital wing, NewsTak, in a consulting role.
Rajkishore’s stint with ABP News began in 2016, where he joined as Political Editor. He went on to spearhead the launch of ABP Ganga in 2019 and was later elevated to Editor-at-Large in 2021. Before ABP, he had a long career with Dainik Jagran, rising to National Chief of Bureau. In that position, he coordinated national coverage across 42 editions in 15 states and contributed to both print and digital platforms including Jagran.com and Nai Duniya.
Since starting out with Dainik Jagran in 2003, Rajkishore has reported extensively on key political and government institutions such as the Prime Minister’s Office, BJP, RSS, Presidential Estate, Congress, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of External Affairs.
His return to Amar Ujala reinforces the group’s focus on political journalism at a time when the media landscape is rapidly expanding across digital and integrated platforms.
