Mumbai: Jaypore, an artisanal lifestyle brand under Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., has unveiled ‘The Nizam’, a new celebratory campaign that reinterprets the imperial splendour of Hyderabad’s Nizams through a contemporary, fashion-forward lens. Blending royal opulence with Deccan artistry and modern sophistication, the campaign offers a fresh portrait of the city’s cultural and architectural legacy.
At its core, ‘The Nizam’ celebrates the quiet, restrained luxury that defined Nizami refinement. The film unfolds like a living miniature painting — capturing the swirl of dhuna, the fragrance of ittar in soft morning light, footsteps echoing beneath Charminar’s arches, and moments of intimate stillness within centuries-old corridors. Each frame revives the poetic grandeur and artistic depth that shaped the aesthetic of the Nizams.
Speaking about the campaign, Manu Gupta, Brand Head, Jaypore, said, “With The Nizam campaign, we wanted to reinterpret the grandeur of Hyderabad’s royal past, not in its extravagance but in its refined quietude. This campaign is a tribute to India’s extraordinary craftspeople and to women who embody strength through elegance and softness.”
Crafted in luxurious cotton-silk and rich silks, the ‘The Nizam’ collection features intricate hand embroidery and heritage craft techniques including Rogan art, lampi gota work, handwoven tissue detailing, and antique-hued sequin work. The colour palette draws from Deccan twilight — deep wine, antique gold, jade, ivory, red, and black — echoing the textiles and artistry of historic Hyderabad. With contemporary silhouettes paired with traditional craftsmanship, the ensembles offer richness without excess, bridging heritage charm with modern refinement.
Beyond apparel, the collection expands into artisanal jewellery and curated home accents, creating a cohesive world of celebration inspired by India’s cultural lineage yet designed for today’s lifestyle.
More than a campaign, ‘The Nizam’ stands as an invitation to rediscover timeless elegance — a reminder that the legacy of Hyderabad’s Nizams continues to inspire, evolve, and enchant.
