Mumbai: Bastian Hospitality Group has announced its most ambitious expansion yet with the launch of Bastian Riviera, a 1.5-acre lifestyle destination set along the scenic Morjim backwaters in Goa. Marking the brand’s evolution from a celebrated restaurant chain to a holistic hospitality ecosystem, the unveiling is accompanied by a new brand film, “À Beira da Riviera”—Portuguese for “by the river”—which sets the creative and visual tone for the property.
Bastian Riviera is designed to reimagine the Goan experience for the modern traveller—eschewing stereotypical coastal aesthetics for a refined, global sensibility. The property is anchored by a striking pyramid-inspired centrepiece and features cabanas on private decks, water-led courtyards, circular sunbeds, and an expansive outdoor bar overlooking the backwaters. Drawing from Egypt, Mykonos, Dubai and other international design cues, the destination promises a layered journey that reveals itself through architecture, food, culture and atmosphere.
The culinary programme builds on Bastian’s established strengths, with a deeper emphasis on premium seafood and Goa-forward flavours. The cultural lineup features internationally acclaimed artists including Jimmy Jules and Bedouin, reinforcing the brand’s ambition to create a distinctive nightlife and experiential calendar for Goa.

I haven’t spent more time anywhere else in India, which is why it felt natural to bring my best work to this coastline, shaped by everything I’ve learnt through my travels. It is a meaningful milestone as it marks our first hotel, crafted with the care and intention that define all our spaces.”
