Mumbai: For over two decades, the NDTV Indian of the Year Awards have stood as India’s most definitive honour — a national benchmark for recognising those whose ideas, achievements, and influence have shaped the country’s evolving story. The awards have consistently celebrated individuals who redefine possibility and reflect the confidence of a new, resurgent India.
The 2025 edition embraces the theme – Ideas. Inspiration. Impact — reflecting a journey where imagination and purpose shape progress and leadership. From innovators and creators to thinkers, athletes, and public leaders, the awards honour those whose contributions move the nation forward.
This year, an eminent Jury convened to select the finest Indians across 14 diverse categories. The panel comprised:
- Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman, RP–Sanjiv Goenka Group (Jury Chair)
- Rajiv Memani, Chairman & CEO, EY India and President, CII
- Sharmila Tagore, Veteran Actor and Former Chairperson, CBFC
- P. Gopichand, Chief National Coach, Indian Badminton Team and Former All England Champion
- Cyril Shroff, Managing Partner, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas
- Rajiv Kumar, Former Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog
Together, they reviewed a distinguished and diverse slate of nominees — individuals whose work embodies excellence, imagination, and nation-building aspiration. The deliberations were extensive, rigorous, and reflective of the stature and legacy of the awards.
NDTV will announce the winners of the Indian of the Year 2025 at a special ceremony on December 19, 2025, in New Delhi.
