Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has awarded Laqshya Media Group the exclusive mandate for the Tata Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 across Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Mid-Innings Match Entertainment, and Fan Engagement.

With this appointment, Laqshya Media Group will curate and execute the complete in-stadium spectator experience across all 22 matches, aiming to elevate the WPL from a premier sporting tournament into a nationwide cultural festival.

The 2026 edition of the Tata WPL carries special significance as it marks the first major tournament following India’s historic ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 victory. Positioned as a celebratory homecoming for the world champions, the league is designed to channel national pride and sustained fan euphoria across every match. Laqshya Media Group has conceptualised the in-stadium environment as a continuous “Victory Lap,” ensuring the triumph resonates throughout the season.

The tournament will open with a high-energy Opening Ceremony featuring Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez, setting the tone for a season driven by spectacle and performance. The Closing Ceremony will culminate with a live performance by Yo Yo Honey Singh, bringing the season to a grand close.

Beyond the marquee ceremonies, Laqshya Media Group is introducing a High-Frequency Engagement model across every match. This includes live mid-innings concerts, next-generation technology-led experiences such as synchronised drone shows, high-impact laser arrays, and immersive murmuration acts, alongside traditional elements like live brass bands and on-ground fan activations—blending local cricketing culture with global entertainment standards.

Extending the league’s presence beyond match venues, Laqshya Media Group is rolling out a large-scale out-of-home (OOH) visibility campaign. Leveraging its extensive media network, the campaign spans major cities, state capitals, and key airports, using a mix of digital and static formats to embed the WPL into everyday public spaces.

The objective is to move the league beyond sports pages and into mainstream cultural consciousness, inspiring broader participation and encouraging young women across the country to see themselves reflected in the sport.
