Mumbai: Birla Opus Prime, the institutional brand of Birla Opus Paints under Aditya Birla Group’s Grasim Industries, has unveiled a new brand campaign that marks an industry-first move in the institutional paints category. With this launch, Birla Opus Prime shifts the narrative beyond product specifications to tell a deeply human, aspiration-led story centred on the idea of visible quality and uncompromising standards.
Anchored in the philosophy of ‘Perfection Always’, the campaign reflects the brand’s belief that functional excellence alone is no longer sufficient in today’s institutional ecosystem. Instead, institutional spaces have become powerful reflections of vision, credibility and long-term commitment to quality. Through this campaign, Birla Opus Prime positions itself as a strategic partner for institutions that view perfection not as a one-time achievement, but as a continuous pursuit.
The brand film follows the journey of two passionate badminton players who set up an academy driven by ambition and purpose. Despite the quality of training offered inside, the academy struggles to attract students due to its worn-out and unimpressive exterior. An architect friend helps them recognise that the real challenge lies in perception. Turning to Birla Opus Prime, the academy undergoes a striking transformation, emerging as a refined and professional space that mirrors the excellence within.
This visible change reshapes how the institution is perceived, leading to increased enrolments, enhanced credibility and renewed confidence in the founders’ vision. The narrative reinforces a core insight for institutional decision-makers—that finishes define perception, and perception ultimately drives growth.
Commenting on the campaign, Inderpreet Singh, Head – Marketing, Birla Opus Paints, said, “With Birla Opus Prime, we wanted to shift the conversation in institutional paints from specifications to philosophy. ‘Perfection Always’ reflects the mindset of professionals like builders, contractors, architects and project owners who never settle and believe that visible quality builds trust and fuels long-term success. This film is our way of showcasing how paint can be a catalyst for growth, credibility and ambition.”
