Mumbai: Protinex, a nutrition brand, has rolled out #NoChairDare, a nationwide awareness movement encouraging Indians to test their muscle strength through a simple wall-sit challenge. The initiative aims to bring tangible attention to the growing impact of sedentary lifestyles and inadequate protein intake.
Live across social platforms, including Instagram via @protinexin and YouTube, the campaign invites participants to hold a wall-sit position for an average of 27 seconds for women and 34 seconds for men — a relatable benchmark that serves as a quick indicator of everyday muscle strength. Participants who complete the challenge are encouraged to continue maintaining strong nutritional habits, while those who find it difficult are prompted to reassess their daily protein intake and lifestyle choices.
To scale the movement nationally, Protinex has partnered with 25 well-known digital creators and fitness influencers, with additional collaborations planned in the coming weeks. The brand is leveraging large-scale participation and user-generated content to spark authentic conversations around muscle strength, functional fitness, and nutrition awareness.
The campaign film and social content underscore a key insight: while many Indians believe their daily meals adequately meet protein requirements, functional muscle strength often suggests otherwise.
Despite increased interest in health and wellness, Indian adults derive only 9–11% of their daily energy intake from protein, primarily due to carbohydrate-heavy diets. While no single test can diagnose protein deficiency, experts note that functional muscle strength can serve as a practical, everyday indicator of whether nutritional needs are being met.
Protinex positions itself as a solution to help bridge everyday protein gaps, offering up to 40% of daily protein needs in a convenient serving. Its high-quality protein blend, enriched with BCAAs, is designed to support muscle strength and overall vitality, making it easier to incorporate protein into daily routines.
Commenting on the campaign, Priyanka Verma, Marketing Director, Danone India, said, “With #NoChairDare, we want to move nutrition awareness from theory to action. Muscle strength is something people can feel instantly — and it opens a powerful conversation around whether everyday diets are truly supporting health. Protinex continues to stand for making protein a simple, daily habit as part of a balanced and active lifestyle.”
Through #NoChairDare, Protinex is encouraging consumers across India to assess their strength, reflect on their nutrition, and take actionable steps toward building healthier, protein-aware lifestyles.
