Mumbai: CometChat has secured $6.5 million (approximately ₹60 crore) in strategic funding from existing investor Run Ventures to accelerate the growth of its next-generation AI agent platform. With this round, the company’s total funding raised to date stands at $21.1 million.
The latest infusion follows a $10 million Series A round and is positioned as a precision capital investment to fast-track CometChat’s AI roadmap while its core business progresses toward sustained profitability. The company plans to deploy the funds to expand its AI capabilities across high-transaction sectors including wellness and beauty, healthcare, financial services, hospitality, and food services.
CometChat’s AI platform is designed to enable enterprises to build and deploy conversational AI agents without requiring coding expertise. Built on six years of communication infrastructure, the platform integrates features such as proactive outbound intelligence, multi-agent orchestration, and a customer intelligence layer to deliver personalized, real-time engagement across channels like web, SMS, WhatsApp, and voice.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, CometChat will focus on scaling AI deployments by transitioning pilot customers into full production, expanding enterprise go-to-market capabilities, and strengthening its presence in key verticals such as healthcare and ecommerce. The company also aims to build category leadership in AI-driven customer engagement, where proactive communication can directly impact retention and revenue.
