New Delhi: Adobe has announced the appointment of Shamik Basu as Vice President, Creative Products Group in India, strengthening its leadership team as it accelerates innovation in creative and AI-led technologies.
Based in Noida, Basu will lead Adobe India’s engineering and product management teams and report to Ely Greenfield. He will also be part of the Adobe India leadership team, playing a key role in driving the company’s growth and innovation strategy in the region.

Our India engineering and product teams drive critical innovation across Pro Design, Digital Imaging, Video and Firefly, while bringing deep insight from one of our fastest-growing AI markets,” said Ely Greenfield, Chief Technology Officer & SVP Creative Products Group, Adobe. “Shamik’s experience building intelligent, large-scale platforms will strengthen local leadership, deepen global alignment and power the next phase of Adobe’s growth.”

In his new role, Basu will collaborate closely with global teams on key products such as Adobe Firefly, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and Premiere, further elevating India’s contribution across creativity and productivity platforms.
Basu joins Adobe from Microsoft, where he spent decades building large-scale, intelligent software platforms and leading advancements in performance, reliability and AI-powered user experiences for global audiences.
Adobe, which began operations in India in 1997 as an engineering R&D centre, has since evolved into a strategic hub spanning product engineering, design, sales and customer experience. With over 8,000 employees across four campuses, India represents Adobe’s second-largest workforce globally and contributes significantly to its innovation roadmap.
