Mumbai: Interio by Godrej, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group, has unveiled a new social experiment film under its ‘Moments That Matter’ campaign, highlighting how thoughtfully designed spaces influence human emotions, behaviour, and connections.
The initiative builds on insights from the brand’s ‘Moments That Matter’ study, which surveyed 1,800 homeowners and 800 officegoers across eight cities. The study explores how everyday environments at home and work impact emotional wellbeing, comfort, and interpersonal relationships for modern Indian consumers.
Key findings reveal that Indian homes are increasingly viewed as emotional anchors in fast-paced lifestyles. Bedrooms emerged as the emotional core, with 90% of respondents associating them with comfort, rest, and rejuvenation. Additionally, 54% of respondents linked their most cherished moments to going to sleep in their own bed, underscoring the role of familiarity in fostering emotional security. The study also found that 64% of Indians consider their living room as the space where their most meaningful moments are created.
The campaign film brings these insights to life through an immersive social experiment conducted in a specially designed room equipped with advanced sensors. The environment dynamically responds to human presence and interaction, with changes in lighting and colour reflecting emotional states such as calmness, connection, and energy. Participants—from strangers to close acquaintances—experienced how the space adapted in real time, demonstrating the impact of design on mood and connection.

Commenting on the campaign, Reshu Saraf, Head of Integrated Marketing & Communications, Interio by Godrej, said, “Through our Moments That Matter campaign, we are reimagining furniture as an enabler of meaningful everyday experiences in modern Indian homes. This film builds on our recent rebranding, which reflects a shift towards more design-led, consumer-centric thinking. By bringing real human interactions to the forefront, we highlight how thoughtfully designed spaces can shape how people feel, connect, and live. It reflects our evolution into a brand that helps create homes where meaningful moments unfold every day.”
Adding a psychological perspective to the initiative, Dr. Alisha Lalljee, a practicing psychologist, psychotherapist and educator, explained how physical environments influence emotional wellbeing, noting that familiar spaces can trigger positive neurochemical responses associated with calm, trust, and belonging.
Commenting on the association, Dr. Alisha Lalljee added, “It was great to collaborate with Interio by Godrej on such a thoughtful film. The relationship between space and psychological wellbeing is both profound and often overlooked. Through this initiative, they bring an innovative and scientific lens to everyday living, showing how design can positively influence emotional regulation and human connection. It’s encouraging to see spaces being reimagined not just as physical settings, but as active contributors to mental and emotional wellbeing.”
The film will be amplified across digital and social platforms, encouraging audiences to reflect on their own environments and the role they play in shaping meaningful life moments.
With this campaign, Interio by Godrej continues to position itself at the intersection of design, functionality, and emotional wellbeing, reinforcing the idea that spaces are not just physical settings but active contributors to human experience.
