Mumbai: Dentsu has named Yusuke Kagohara as Chief Financial Officer for Southeast Asia, reinforcing its regional leadership structure as the network sharpens its focus on sustainable and accountable growth. Kagohara will report to Sanjay Bhasin, CEO, Southeast Asia, dentsu.
The appointment comes as dentsu looks to deepen financial discipline and strengthen governance frameworks across its Southeast Asia operations, a region seen as both high-growth and structurally complex.
Kagohara brings extensive experience spanning corporate strategy, finance, and transformation. In his most recent role as Group Head of Risks and Controls at dentsu Group Inc., he led global initiatives around internal controls, enterprise risk management, and governance, supporting large-scale transformation and remediation programmes.
Prior to that, he held key leadership positions including CFO and Deputy CFO roles at dentsu Beijing and Dentsu Creative China, where he oversaw financial governance and drove business transformation across multiple markets.

Sanjay Bhasin, CEO, Southeast Asia, dentsu, said the region’s next phase of growth would require a stronger foundation built on accountability and resilience rather than scale alone. “We are very clear on where Southeast Asia needs to go next. For us, growth alone is not enough. It has to be growth that is accountable, resilient, and built to last.”
He added that Kagohara’s cross-market experience and expertise in governance and transformation would be instrumental as dentsu continues to evolve its integrated offerings. “This is about building a business that is not just bigger, but foundationally stronger.”
Commenting on his appointment, Yusuke Kagohara, Chief Financial Officer, Southeast Asia, dentsu, highlighted the unique dynamics of the region. “No two markets are the same, but the principles of building a strong, trusted business are universal.” He noted that Southeast Asia represents a convergence of diversity, speed, and ambition, adding that he looks forward to working with the regional team to build a business grounded in strong fundamentals.
The move signals dentsu’s continued emphasis on governance-led growth and operational rigor as it navigates evolving market conditions and client demands across Southeast Asia.
