Mumbai: U.S.-based Utopai Studios has entered into a strategic partnership with China’s leading film and television company Huace Film & TV Co. Ltd. to deploy its cinematic storytelling artificial general intelligence system, PAI, as the core engine for long-form narrative creation.
The collaboration marks a significant step in advancing AI-driven content production at scale, with Huace leveraging PAI to enhance content development, streamline creative iteration, and enable global localization across its vast entertainment portfolio.
As part of the agreement, Huace has committed to large-scale annual usage of PAI across its production operations. The companies have also entered into a usage-based revenue-sharing model, signalling a deep strategic alignment. The partnership underscores Utopai Studios’ international expansion ambitions while addressing enterprise demands for customization, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
With a presence spanning film and television development, production, and distribution, Huace Film & TV Co. Ltd. operates across more than 200 countries and regions and maintains distribution channels on over 20 global platforms, including Netflix and YouTube. The company’s extensive TV IP library positions it uniquely to harness AI for large-scale content adaptation and production workflows.
The partnership follows a comprehensive evaluation by Huace of existing AI solutions, with the company seeking a platform capable of supporting full-scale narrative development rather than isolated content generation tools.

“Huace approached this opportunity with a clear view of what matters for a media company building for the future,” said Zhao Yifang, Founder and Chairwoman of Huace Group. “We looked closely at the available models in the market and were not looking for a generation tool alone. We wanted a platform that could better support narrative quality, creative control, continuity and real production workflows from development through delivery. PAI stood out in that regard. Its long-form capabilities, end-to-end value and professional orientation made Utopai Studios the right partner for us. Our decision to work with Utopai reflects the power of PAI and the value of technology designed for long-form creative workflows.”
PAI, the flagship system developed by Utopai Studios, is designed specifically for long-form cinematic storytelling. Unlike conventional AI tools, it is trained on cinematic language and narrative continuity, enabling consistent storytelling across complex productions.
Earlier this month, the company enhanced PAI with new capabilities, including three-minute 4K video generation and advanced multi-shot sequencing, aimed at improving continuity and setting new benchmarks for long-form content creation.
The partnership is expected to unlock new efficiencies in content creation and IP adaptation, as global media companies increasingly turn to AI to scale storytelling while maintaining creative integrity.
