Leo India sweeps Day 2 at ABBYs 2026; Zee named Broadcaster of the Year

Mumbai: Leo India emerged as the biggest winner on Day 2 of the ABBY Awards Powered by The One Show at Goafest 2026, dominating across multiple specialist categories including Digital, Technology, Direct and Health.

The second day of the awards distributed a total of 255 metals and merits across categories such as Digital, Technology, Public Relations, Design, Direct, Health, Sustainable Development Goals, Young Maverick and Broadcaster ABBYs. The overall tally comprised two Grand Prix, 19 Golds, 73 Silvers, 99 Bronzes and 62 Merits.

Leo India topped the overall Day 2 leaderboard with 67 wins and 346 points. The agency’s performance included one Grand Prix, six Golds, 27 Silvers, 29 Bronzes and four Merits, making it the most awarded network of the day.

In the broadcaster category, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited secured the Broadcaster of the Year title with 15 wins and 82 points. Its tally featured three Golds, six Silvers, five Bronzes and one Merit. JioStar India followed with 20 points from three wins.

Leo India dominates specialist categories

Leo India led the Digital ABBYs with 24 recognitions and 120 points, including a Grand Prix, one Gold, eight Silvers, 12 Bronzes and two Merits. The agency also took home the Digital Grand Prix for “Darescore” created for Mountain Dew in the Digital Technology, Utility/Tool category.

Enormous secured the second spot in Digital with 42 points from 10 wins, while McCann India collected nine recognitions and 28 points. White Rivers Media and BBH Communication India also featured among the leading agencies in the category.

The Technology ABBYs saw Leo India once again emerge on top with 54 points from 10 wins, including one Gold, five Silvers and four Bronzes. Mindshare Mumbai followed with 30 points.

The Technology Grand Prix, however, went to Perfetti Van Melle India for its Centerfruit campaign “Kaisi Jeebh Laplapayee” in the Best Use of Voice Service in a Digital Platform or Technology category.

Tribes Communications tops PR category

Tribes Communications was named Public Relations Specialist Agency of the Year after winning 11 metals and merits, translating to 50 points. Its tally included one Gold, three Silvers, five Bronzes and two Merits.

Leo India followed closely with 42 points in PR, powered by two Golds and four Silvers. Enormous and Network18 Media and Investments also featured among the top-performing agencies in the category.

Design and Direct categories see mixed winners

The Design ABBYs produced a joint leadership outcome, with BMEG Private Limited and VML tied at 18 points each.

BMEG secured seven recognitions, largely through Bronzes and Merits, while VML achieved the same points tally with fewer but higher-value wins, including one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze. 22Feet Tribal Worldwide and Maitri Advertising Works also delivered notable performances.

In the Direct ABBYs, Leo India added another category leadership with 32 points from five recognitions, including one Gold and four Silvers. McCann India and Tribes Communications followed with 12 points each.

Strong showing in Health, SDG and Young Maverick

The Health ABBYs saw Leo India named Health Specialist Agency of the Year with 38 points from eight wins. McCann India matched Leo India in number of recognitions but finished lower on points. BBH Communication India stood out with two Gold wins in the category.

In the Sustainable Development Goals ABBYs, Leo India again led the charts with seven recognitions and 30 points, while Enormous finished second with 22 points. Tribes Communications and BBH Communication India ended with 12 points each.

The Young Maverick ABBYs also tilted in Leo India’s favour. The agency earned 30 points through six recognitions, including one Gold and two Silvers. Tribes Communications and Famous Innovations were among the other notable winners in the category.

Across Day 2, the ABBYs reinforced the growing dominance of integrated and tech-led creative work, with agencies increasingly winning across multiple specialist verticals rather than isolated disciplines.
