Mumbai: upGrad has announced the appointment of Mukesh Mundra as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Based in Mumbai, Mukesh will lead upGrad’s Finance and Administration functions, focusing on financial strategy, business partnering, governance, and scale-building as the company continues to strengthen its global growth trajectory.
Mukesh brings over 26 years of finance leadership experience across media, telecom, manufacturing, and consumer-focused businesses. A Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), he joins upGrad from JioStar, where he served as Head of Finance. Prior to that, he was the CFO at Viacom18 Media Private Limited for over eight years, leading financial strategy and driving key business transformation initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Mundra held leadership roles at Idea Cellular, contributing to strategic milestones including the acquisition of Spice Communications and the formation of the Indus Towers joint venture. He has also worked with Grasim Industries and Anand Rathi Group.
