Mumbai: AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB) has elevated Yogesh Jain as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO), effective July 25, 2026, following approval by the Bank’s Board of Directors.
In his new role, Jain will continue to work closely with Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Sanjay Agarwal to drive enterprise-wide execution, strengthen operational excellence, accelerate digital transformation and support the bank’s long-term growth strategy.
The appointment comes as AU SFB strengthens its leadership team amid its next phase of growth and transformation. The bank recently became the first institution in more than a decade to receive in-principle approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for its proposed transition to a Universal Bank.
According to the bank, the elevation reflects its commitment to strengthening its leadership architecture as it continues to expand its franchise, accelerate technology-led transformation and pursue its long-term strategic objectives.
A Chartered Accountant with more than two decades of experience in the financial services sector, Jain has been associated with AU for over 16 years. He has played a key role in the institution’s evolution from a leading non-banking financial company (NBFC) into India’s largest Small Finance Bank.
During his tenure, Jain has led several strategic functions, including capital mobilisation, treasury management, financial institutions, strategic planning, operations, technology, digital banking, credit cards, customer experience and unsecured lending.
As Chief Operating Officer, he has overseen the bank’s enterprise transformation initiatives, driving technology modernisation, digital innovation and operational excellence across the organisation. His leadership has also contributed to the development of scalable technology platforms, improved customer experiences and the bank’s transition into a technology-driven, customer-centric financial institution.
