Mumbai: Tata Communications has appointed Narottam Sharma as its Chief Transformation Officer, effective September 2026, as the communications technology company strengthens its leadership team to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation and innovation.
Sharma will be a part of the company’s Global Management Committee and will lead transformation initiatives focused on digital technologies, artificial intelligence-led operating models, process reengineering and technology-driven business transformation.
A technology executive with more than two decades of experience, Sharma has led large-scale transformation programmes spanning business operations, supply chains, customer experience and corporate functions across organisations.

Sharma joins Tata Communications from Jubilant FoodWorks, where he serves as Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, he held a senior transformation leadership role at Mastek, overseeing a multi-track enterprise transformation programme to support business growth and scale.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Technology Transformation at Sterlite, where he led enterprise-wide business and technology transformation initiatives across the company’s legacy operations.
In his new role, Sharma is expected to lead the company’s transformation agenda as Tata Communications continues to expand its digital capabilities and strengthen its technology-led business strategy.
