Ahmedabad: Wagh Bakri Tea Group has unveiled an AI-powered digital campaign for its newly launched Wagh Bakri SIPZ Instant Chai, combining artificial intelligence with consumer insights to strengthen its connect with digitally savvy consumers while reinforcing its legacy of quality and innovation.
The campaign, developed around the consumer insight that people continue to crave the comfort of “Ghar Jaisi Chai” even when they are away from home, marks the tea maker’s latest effort to blend technology-led storytelling with evolving consumption habits.
Built around the thought “Urgency Can Wait, But Chai Craving Can’t,” the campaign introduces WB SIPZ Man, a character inspired by the product’s packaging, to showcase how consumers can enjoy a familiar cup of tea anytime and anywhere by simply adding hot water to a SIPZ sachet.
The company said the campaign reflects changing consumer preferences, particularly among students, young professionals and travellers, who increasingly seek products that combine convenience with authentic taste. It also highlights the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in FMCG marketing by enabling faster creative execution and more consumer-centric communication while complementing human creativity.

Commenting on the launch, Paras Desai, Executive Director, Wagh Bakri Tea Group, said, “For over 130 years, Wagh Bakri has evolved with changing consumer preferences while staying true to its legacy of quality and trust. ‘SIPZ Instant Chai’ offers consumers the familiar taste of Wagh Bakri in a travel-friendly format. This new AI-powered campaign of ours reflects our commitment to embracing technology to create meaningful consumer experiences without compromising our core values. The initiative reflects the company’s vision of embracing emerging technologies to create more engaging and relevant brand experiences.”

Highlighting the brand’s strategy for the instant tea category, Gaurav Parashar, Chief Marketing Officer, Wagh Bakri Tea Group, said, “Instant Chai is one of the fastest-emerging beverage categories, driven by consumers seeking convenience without compromising on the comfort of ‘Ghar Jaisi Kadak Chai.’ At Wagh Bakri SIPZ, we are expanding the category through our ₹10 SKU, making Instant Chai more accessible to emerging cohorts such as students, young professionals, travellers, offices and small businesses. Our latest digital campaign, ‘Urgency Can Wait, But Chai Craving Can’t,’ reflects this evolving consumption behaviour. By leveraging Artificial Intelligence, we’ve accelerated creative execution, enabled fresh storytelling and created more meaningful consumer engagements.”
Sharing the creative perspective behind the campaign, Sushobhan Chowdhury, Founder, AHA (ThatsAHA Consulting LLP), said, “For years, ambitious ideas were often held back by production constraints: locations, art direction, cinematography, time, and cost. With AI, many of those barriers have disappeared, especially for digital storytelling. The ideas still come from human intelligence; AI simply removes the production blockers. Wagh Bakri SIPZ is a great example of that. It allowed us to bring an ambitious creative vision to life without compromising the original idea. We’re proud to have partnered with Wagh Bakri on a campaign that embraces new technology while staying true to the craft of storytelling.”
The campaign will be rolled out across digital and social media platforms as part of an integrated marketing strategy for Wagh Bakri SIPZ Instant Chai. Through the initiative, Wagh Bakri aims to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing instant tea category while combining its 130-year heritage with emerging technologies to deliver innovative and consumer-centric brand experiences.
