Thanthi TV the news channel promoted by the largest Tamil news paper network “Daily Thanthi” had emerged as the front runner among the Tamil News Channels.
The recent Tam data for the week 25 shows that Thanthi TV had scored 28 GRP and piping Puthiya Thalaimurai TV (PT) to No. 2 spot.
However, the difference was very marginal as PT had scored 27 GRP. Sun News stood far way at No.3 with 17 GRPs followed by Jaya Plus with 16 GRPs and Polimer News with 15 GRPs.
Thanthi TV is constantly revamping its programming line-up and introduced latest technology in to the News reporting system that helps them to update Live news almost in real time.
It also managed to create a uniqueness in packaging the programs, designs and grooming the news readers for a new standard on par with the National News readers.
Few in the Market also state that PT witnessed a sudden drop due to its disappearance from the Arasu Cable.
