Chennai : Leading Tamil Satellite Channel Raj TV is all set to launch a new fiction show “En Thangai” on 4th may in its evening time band 6: 30 pm, scheduled for telecast on every Monday to Saturday.
The channel has roped in popular film Actor and Director Pandiyarajan as the lead protagonist of the new show that talks about the responsibilities and sacrifice of brothers of an average middle-class Tamil family towards his sisters in present day’s society.
The story of “En Thangai” (My Sister) revolves around the life of Pandiyarajan, the Protagonist of this story, a ferry (Boat) Contractor in Hogennekkal that Falls in picturesque locations of the great water-falls in Dharmapuri Dist., in Tamilnadu and his four sisters.

As a responsible brother Pandiyarajan wants to get his sisters married to a Government employee so that they can have a guaranteed future. However, fate has something else for his sisters in the form of various characters. “En Thangai” will deal with the Pandiyarajan’s efforts to find a prosperous future for his sisters and related disappointments and how he supportively overcomes the setbacks to put them in the right track.
The show is being produced by RR Telefilms and it has been shot extensively in the natural and picturesque outdoors at Hogennekkal falls. It has been directed by famous television Director ”Mangai Arirajan” who has done more than 5000 episodes of soaps to his credit.
Raj TV hopes to strengthen its evening time band with the launch of “En Thangai” @ 6:30 pm.
