Mumbai: With municipal elections currently underway across Maharashtra, shaping the future of urban governance in cities and towns statewide – including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) – Aaj Tak will host ‘Mumbai Manthan’, a day-long political conclave on January 8, 2026. The event will bring together key political voices from across parties to deliberate on the shifting civic and political landscape of Maharashtra.
The day-long event will focus on the larger political equations, civic challenges, governance priorities and development roadmaps that are influencing municipal elections across the state. Leaders from both the ruling establishment and the opposition will share their perspectives through a series of open, issue-driven discussions, offering insights into the direction of local governance, urban development and grassroots democracy in Maharashtra.
The lineup includes Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Aaditya Thackeray, Sanjay Raut, Ashish Shelar, Supriya Sule, Praful Patel, Varsha Gaikwad, and Varun Sardesai, among other senior political leaders.
Adding depth to the conversations will be leading voices from business and policy, including Niranjan Hiranandani and Nilesh Shah, alongside election analysts Sanjay Kumar, Pradeep Gupta, and Amitabh Tiwari, who will offer data-driven insights into voter sentiment and electoral trends.
