Mumbai: Abundantia Entertainment is set to mark its debut on Netflix in 2026 with two marquee projects — a tentpole original drama series and a highly anticipated comedy film — signalling the start of a new creative partnership with the global streaming platform.
The announcement was made at the “Next On Netflix” event held in Mumbai on February 3, where the streaming giant unveiled its upcoming slate. Leading the lineup is the high-profile drama series Family Business, headlined by Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta.
Family Business also boasts an extensive ensemble cast including Rhea Chakraborty, Neha Dhupia, Akash Khurana, Anant Nag, Kanwaljit Singh, Apara Mehta, Dhruv Sehgal, Nandish Sandhu, Raima Sen, Tina Desai, Rohan Mehra, Inayat Sood and Madhoo. The series promises an intense narrative centred on power, ambition and legacy, where business rivalries intersect with complex family dynamics.
Also featured prominently in the slate is Abundantia’s upcoming film Maa Behen, a comedy starring Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durga and Ravi Kishan, directed by Suresh Triveni. The film brings together a cross-generational cast and is positioned as a fresh, character-driven entertainer.
Exclusive first looks of both projects were unveiled at the event, drawing strong reactions from attendees and quickly gaining traction on social media. Family Business generated particular buzz for showcasing Anil Kapoor in a striking new avatar, while Maa Behen drew cheers for its unexpected casting combination and lively tone.
The collaboration with Netflix marks a strategic expansion of Abundantia Entertainment’s platform presence, reinforcing its commitment to building a diverse and audience-focused content portfolio. With projects spanning genres and formats, the studio continues to focus on delivering ambitious, large-scale storytelling for audiences across screens.
