Amagi launches AI-powered smart scheduler to improve content programming

Mumbai: Amagi, a global leader in cloud-based SaaS technology for broadcast and streaming TV, has announced the launch of Amagi Smart Scheduler, an AI-powered content scheduling solution aimed at revolutionizing channel programming. Built on Argoid’s AI scheduling platform, this latest innovation leverages machine learning (ML) and automation to streamline scheduling workflows, boost operational efficiency, and maximize audience engagement and monetization.

Amagi Smart Scheduler is designed to address the challenges of traditional, labor-intensive scheduling methods that require deep analysis of audience behavior, metadata, and programming trends. By automating this process, the solution empowers media companies to efficiently scale multi-channel programming while driving greater viewership and increasing ad revenue.

The AI-driven scheduler offers two intelligent modes:

  • Fully Automated Mode: Instantly generates optimized schedules using ML models trained on historical viewership data, audience preferences, and content performance.
  • Rules-Based Automation Mode: Enables content teams to set custom scheduling rules and preferences, combining human input with data-backed insights.

In both modes, editorial oversight is maintained, giving content teams the ability to review, refine, and adjust programming as needed — ensuring a balance between automation and creative control.

This launch follows Amagi’s recent acquisition of Argoid AI, a move that underlines the company’s commitment to accelerating AI innovation in the media and entertainment space. Amagi Smart Scheduler is now generally available and marks one of the first key products built on Argoid’s advanced AI infrastructure.
