Mumbai: Amazon MX Player has announced its most expansive content slate yet, unveiling 150+ new and returning shows for 2026 as the platform doubles down on its strategy of delivering premium entertainment free to audiences across India.
The new slate spans multiple genres and formats, including drama, action, thrillers, youth-focused series, unscripted formats and micro-dramas. The announcement reinforces Amazon MX Player’s mission to democratise premium storytelling by making diverse content accessible to viewers nationwide without subscription fees.
Leading the slate is Made In India: The Titan Story, starring Naseeruddin Shah and Jim Sarbh, an inspiring drama centred on ambition and legacy building. Another major title, Sankalp, features Nana Patekar, Sanjay Kapoor, Neeraj Kabi and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in a socio-political thriller exploring the complexities of leadership and power.
The upcoming slate further expands into thrillers and drama with titles such as Ab Hoga Hisaab, starring Shaheer Sheikh, Mouni Roy and Sanjay Kapoor, along with administrative drama The Bureaucrat, featuring Amol Parashar.
Action and crime storytelling also feature prominently with projects including Kaptaan, headlined by Saqib Saleem; survival thriller Vimal Khanna, starring Sunny Hinduja; cop drama Waiting Hai, featuring Divyenndu Sharma and Bhuvan Arora; and crime drama Clean Up Crew, starring Ravi Kishan, Amey Wagh and Vishal Jethwa.
The service is also building on the momentum of recent releases such as Amar Vishwas, starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Aamir Ali, Ravi Behl and Barkha Bisht, as well as romantic thriller Psycho Saiyaan, featuring Tejasswi Prakash and Ravi Kishan.
Several successful franchises will also return with new seasons, including Raktanchal Season 3, youth-focused titles such as Campus Beats Season 6, Campus Diaries Season 2, Heartbeats Season 2 and Who’s Your Gynac Season 2, strengthening the platform’s connection with younger audiences.
In the unscripted category, Amazon MX Player will bring back its flagship reality series Rise & Fall Season 2, licensed through All3Media International and originally created by Studio Lambert. The platform will also return with Battleground Season 2, India’s fitness reality show featuring Shikhar Dhawan as lead mentor.
The service recently concluded Bharat Ke Super Founders, headlined by Suniel Shetty, where selected startups received ₹100 crore in funding, highlighting the platform’s growing investment in impactful unscripted programming.
A major pillar of the 2026 strategy is the continued expansion of MX Fatafat, the platform’s micro-drama format designed for mobile-first audiences. Amazon MX Player is also strengthening MX Vdesi, its catalogue of localised international content from Korea, China and Turkey, along with a curated slate of anime available in Japanese and Hindi.
Commenting on the opportunity for brands, Girish Prabhu, Head of Amazon Ads India, said, “With our 2026 content slate and a reach of over 250 million users, Amazon MX Player creates a powerful opportunity for brands to engage audiences at scale.
