Mumbai: RJ Annu Kapoor, host “Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor” on Big FM has brought in yet another accolade for the most awarded and popular show on radio by virtue of receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award.
BIG FM launched “Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor” three years ago. The show has since been winning laurels with its evergreen stories, creating a special space in the listener’s hearts and going on to become the number 1 show in Mumbai.
RJ Annu Kapoor has won accolade after accolade for his splendid narration and was also selected as the best RJ at the prestigious Golden Mike Awards, New York Festival Awards and the India Radio Forum Awards in 2015. He has also been voted the best RJ (Non –Metro) for the show for two consecutive years. He has been instrumental in making ‘Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor’ one of the most heard and loved shows in the history of radio and along with 92.7 BIG FM, has plans to take the show to the next level by doing multiple live on-ground shows.

Going on to speak about the show, the two time national award winner, who has narrated more than 4000 stories through the show further added, “There is a lot of hard-work and research that goes behind the making of ‘Suhaana Safar’. The show gives me the freedom to express myself by not only narrating stories from yesteryears (films), but also stories that reside in my heart. I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a fantastic team, the true heroes of this show.”
