ASCI brings ICAS Global Summit to India for the first time

Global Ad-Self Regulators Gather to Shape the Future of Responsible Advertising

Mumbai: The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) is set to host the prestigious International Council for Advertising Self-Regulation (ICAS) Global Summit—ICAS Global Dialogues 2025, from March 17 to 19, 2025, in Mumbai. This marks the first time the summit will be held outside Europe and the US, underscoring India’s growing role in shaping global conversations on responsible advertising.

The invite-only event will bring together self-regulatory leaders from 16 countries, alongside international advertising associations, regulators, and Indian industry pioneers. The summit highlights ASCI’s contributions in advancing global self-regulation standards and responsible advertising practices.

Key Highlights of the Three-Day Summit

  • ICAS Global Self-Regulation Awards (March 17): Recognizing outstanding self-regulatory initiatives worldwide.
  • ICAS Think Tank Panel Discussion: Featuring founding members such as Hindustan Unilever, Marico, Cipla Health, and Kenvue, the panel will address the future of advertising self-regulation.
  • Industry Session :‘Tomorrow’s Regulation Today’ (March 18): Exploring how advertising regulation can tackle emerging areas of consumer vulnerability.
  • ASCI Academy’s Global Adda (March 19): Launch of two research reports—‘Manifest: Masculinities Beyond the Mask’ (examining masculinity in media) and ‘AdNext: The AI Edition’ (exploring AI’s role in advertising).

The event will feature insights from government officials, advertising regulators, industry leaders, and technology experts, including:

The ICAS Global Summit 2025 has garnered support from leading corporate sponsors, including Diageo India, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Google, United Breweries, MakeMyTrip, Games24x7, Khaitan & Co., and Lexplosion.
