Trivandrum: Asianet Film Awards 2016 aired on 21st Feb scores record TV Ratings as the show broke all previous TV rating records and has become the most watched event ever broadcast on Malayalam television.
Asianet Film Awards 2016 has attracted mass viewership. In Kerala total market the show scored 26 points among NCCS 4+ TG [BARC Rat%, 21st Feb, Sun 19.00-23.00 hrs] and 31 points among NCCS Fe ABC 15+ TG with a General Entertainment (GE) viewership share of 85% and 86% respectively.
Asianet film Awards 2016 has kept Keralites glued to their television sets for the entire duration of the show resulting a new record in Television history.
Apparently, the industry sources reveal that the Magic spell is due to the Mohanlal factor, which played important role in creating huge expectations among the Malayalee audience.
The 18th Asianet film Award 2016 function held at Adlux Convention Centre at Angamali in Kerala witnessed thousands of audience thronging the venue to have the glimpses of Mohanlal’s special performance in the event.
The special segment of the award ceremony dedicated to celebrate 36 years of Mohanlal’s service to the Indian film Industry Lalettan @ 36 was the main attraction. Apart from his special performance Actor Mohanlal was honored with Special Lifetime awards.
