Mumbai: Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the appointment of Milind Pande as the Head of Marketing for India and South Asia, strengthening its leadership bench as cloud adoption continues to surge across the region.
With over 16 years of experience spanning technology, media, and consulting sectors, Milind brings deep expertise in B2B marketing, strategy, and business development to his new role. Most recently, he was managing the marketing charter for the Independent Software Vendors (ISV) cohort at AWS India, playing a key role in demand generation and customer engagement.
In his new capacity, Milind will oversee AWS’s end-to-end marketing portfolio across industries and customer maturity levels, including brand positioning, go-to-market strategy, demand generation, and thought leadership. His appointment comes at a critical time as cloud and AI-led transformations accelerate across India and South Asia, with companies modernising rapidly using AWS technologies.
In his 6th year at AWS, Milind has served as the Chief of Staff to the AWS India President and has been instrumental in building the region’s growth programs across sales and marketing functions.
Prior to AWS, Milind held key roles at Vodafone India, where he led technology security and enterprise risk management, and at Viacom18, where he managed corporate strategy and investor relations. At Viacom18, he was part of the strategic leadership team at the media powerhouse now under JioStar—a joint venture between Reliance Industries, Viacom18, and Disney India.
An MBA graduate from the Indian School of Business with a specialization in Strategy and Marketing, Milind is widely recognised for his strategic acumen and operational rigor. Beyond his corporate contributions, he is actively engaged in climate action and social impact programs, underlining a purpose-driven leadership approach.
This strategic appointment highlights AWS’s commitment to India’s fast-evolving cloud landscape and its focus on enabling digital transformation for startups, SMBs, and enterprises alike. Milind’s leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in democratising cloud access and scaling impact across the region.
