Mumbai: Bata India has unveiled its ‘Strong Steps, Small Price’ campaign, introducing a new school footwear range aimed at combining comfort, ease, and affordability as the back-to-school season begins across the country.
Timed with the reopening of schools, the campaign taps into evolving consumer needs, where parents seek durability and value, while children prefer lightweight, easy-to-wear designs suited for long, active days. The new range reflects this shift, focusing on functionality, comfort, and independence for young users.
The collection includes lightweight sneaker-style school shoes available in Velcro and lace variants, a value-driven offering priced at ₹599, and an easy slide design that allows children to wear footwear independently without using their hands. To cater to seasonal needs, the brand has also introduced waterproof clog variants for the monsoon months.

Commenting on the launch, Badri Beriwal, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, Bata India, said, “The back-to-school season is closely tied to everyday family routines. Parents are looking for footwear that supports their children through long, active days, while children prefer styles that feel light and easy. Through this campaign, we are bringing together comfort, ease and value in a way that fits naturally into their lives. A comfortable child is a happy child and that remains central to how we design our school footwear.”
The campaign will be rolled out across key markets including Delhi NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, and Maharashtra, aligned with regional school reopening cycles. It will be supported by digital activations to drive awareness and engagement.
The new range is available across Bata retail stores, the brand’s app, and leading e-commerce platforms. As part of the campaign, customers purchasing any Bata school shoes will receive a 30% discount on school bags, along with complimentary themed diaries, adding further value for families during the season.
