Bhojpur :Dishum International Bhojpuri Film Awards (IBFA) 2017 created history last year by being the first-ever Regional entertainment show held in London on 30th July 2017. This year, it spread the power of Bhojpuri culture in Malaysia at the 2nd DISHUM IBFA Awards 2018.
It was a packed house with entire Bhojpuri industry under one roof to celebrate the 2nd Dishum International Bhojpuri Film awards 2018. Present were the Bhojpuri superstars such as Manoj Tiwari, Pawan Singh, Nirahua, Ravi Kishan, Krushna Abhishek as well as popular Bhojpuri celebrities including Amprapali Dubey, Madhu Sharma,Vinay Anand, Akanksha Awasthi, Sambhavna Seth, Rashmi Desai, Payal Rohatgi, who rocked the stage in a glitzy event held in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur on 21st July 2018. The prestigious awards were given away in front of a packed audience and attended by the who’s who of Bhojpuri and Bollywood entertainment industry. Adding a touch of Bollywood charm and to grace the occasion present were Kumar Sanu and Dino Morea.
The highlight of the award was a digital imaging special effects dance sequence first time tried in the Bhojpuri regional space and was performed by Pawan Singh of Lollypop Lagelu fame.
The Dishum IBFA Malaysia 2018 will be aired exclusively as a three-hour extravaganza on the channel- Bhojpuri Dhamaka Dishum on 15th August 2018, which marks 1st Anniversary of Dishum channel too.
Organised by Yashi Films and in its fourth edition now, the IBFA Awards have been touching new highs year on year. Earlier shows were held in Mauritius (2015), Dubai (2016) and London (2017). The show is being marketed with a 360-degree campaign including Outdoor, Television and Print Media and with the sponsors like Shyam Steel, CavinKare, and many more.
Expressing delight at spreading Bhojpuri culture across the globe, Partha Dey, COO, Dishum Broadcasting Pvt Ltd said, “In our endeavour to create and broadcast programmes which have never been tried in this genre, we are focusing on impact properties shot at foreign locales and Dishum IBFA is a prime example of this effort”.
