Brands join the IPL fervour with array of sponsorship deals with Teams and BCCI

Mumbai: Curtain rose for the most popular sporting extravaganza- IPL. The IPL 2022 is scheduled to be played in the country starting this month from March 26 till May 29. According to the Hi-Cricket study, there has been a 20% jump with 41% of fans this year saying that they will watch every match. It is evident that IPL as a brand is only increasing in popularity with each passing year. IPL 2021 has garnered over 380 million TV viewers.

Brands have joined the bandwagon and have entered into partnership deals with BCCI and IPL teams to make the most of this sports extravaganza to increase market share and improve brand recall.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced today that Swiggy Instamart, India’s leading quick commerce grocery service is the official partner for the 2022 season of the TATA IPL tournament. 

Neuberg Diagnostics has announced the partnership for IPL 2022. Neuberg has been chosen as one of the official diagnostics partners for Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, and Punjab Kings for IPL 2022. This is the second year that Neuberg is partnering with IPL as its diagnostics partner. 

BookMyShow clinched exclusive ticketing rights of Tata IPL 2022. Along with being the exclusive ticketing partner for all 70 matches, BookMyShow will also manage venue services for all stadiums including Gate Entry and Spectator management.

Delhi Capitals will collaborate with Seagram’s Royal Stag for the upcoming 2022 season. With this association for IPL 2022, Royal Stag is poised to further bolster its engagement with cricket lovers across the country and cement its loyalty towards the game via sustained engagement with fans throughout the season. 

Credenc.com, an education lending fintech platform today, announced its sponsorship of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group-owned Lucknow Super Giants team as their associate sponsor. With this sponsorship, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will sport the brand’s logo on the jersey sleeves.

Hero Vired, a learning company under the Hero Group, was announced as the Official EdTech Partner of Delhi Capitals for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The company will associate with the JSW and GMR co-owned franchise for a period of one year.

Strata, a tech-enabled commercial real estate (CRE) investment platform, has signed up as the partner to five-time champion Mumbai Indians for the 15th edition of the country’s leading T20 league. 

Greenply Industries Limited has entered a partnership with the first-ever team from Uttar Pradesh in the T20 tournament, namely Lucknow Super Giants as Associate Partner of the franchise.

JSW-GMR co-owned Delhi Capitals announced a first-of-its-kind association with one of the world’s fastest-growing beer brands, Bira 91. As Delhi Capitals’ Official Cheer Partner, Bira 91 will bring in a fresh and innovative approach to engage with fans through this partnership. A five-year-long partnership will involve a host of unique activations and curated offerings enabling consumers to celebrate their love for cricket and beer. 

Sunstone Eduversity has announced its collaboration as associate partners with the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) newest franchise, Lucknow SuperGiants.

boAt – India’s earwear brand has partnered with four T20 teams – Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Titans, and Punjab Kings as their official audio and wearable partner. the boAt has also extended its partnership with Kolkata Knight Riders and will continue being their official audio partner for this season as well. The brand’s very own boAtheads (brand ambassadors) Hardik Pandya, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Mayank Agarwal, and KL Rahul will also be playing with their respective teams. Taking a step further the boAt logo like the previous season will also be present and displayed on the helmets and team caps of Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Social and gaming investment platform StockGro is now the official sponsor of the T20 paragon – Royal Challengers, Bangalore.

Pristyn Care, a Gurgaon-based healthcare unicorn, announced its partnership with Disney+Hotstar as the Associate Sponsor. Disney+Hotstar is the official broadcaster of the Indian Premier League.

Redcliffe Labs, a leading diagnostics healthcare company, has partnered with Royal Challengers Bangalore. The association aims at highlighting the importance of diagnosis in health & wellness.

Four-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings unveiled their new jersey for IPL 2022. As the principal sponsor, the front of Chennai Super Kings’ official jersey carries the TVS Eurogrip Branding.
