MUMBAI: Century Plyboards (India) a manufacturer of plywood and laminates in India, once again honours the true ‘heroes of life’ through its annual initiative, ‘CenturyHeroes’ 2024. Since its inception in 2014, the CenturyHeroes campaign has consistently celebrated and supported the heroes of their communities, while also shining a spotlight on issues that deserve greater attention. This year, CenturyPly is focussing on creating a more inclusive environment for specially-abled individuals who daily face mobility challenges fostering a broader conversation about inclusivity in design. 

The brand said that it focusses on the concept of inclusive furniture designed for individuals with special needs. In the absence of accessible furniture, people facing challenges related to mobility in India go through daily heartbreak and frustration. Hence, by shattering the stigma surrounding disability-friendly furnishings, CenturyPly has set a new benchmark for inclusivity in the industry, inspiring a wave of change and paving the way for a more accessible and equitable future for all. With 26.8 million people with special needs and only 40% of public buildings accessible, CenturyPly honours those creating inclusive furniture, championing a cause that desperately needs attention. 

A pioneering concept, Inclusive Furniture is designed to meet the needs of people who face challenges related to mobility through thoughtful, innovative design. It is a testament to empathy and kindness. It embodies their dedication to crafting environments where every individual—regardless of physical ability—can find comfort and ease. CenturyPly is not just shaping spaces; it is touching lives and making a tangible difference. It is not just a product modification, but a thought modification. 

This year’s campaign follows a young interior designer who thoughtfully incorporates inclusive furniture in her home to ensure every guest feels welcomed. It looks to throw light on the foresightedness of architects, designers and carpenters who go above and beyond to include everyone.

The tagline, ‘Inclusivity is Priority,’ emphasises their mission to make spaces accessible for everyone, regardless of ability. It highlights the importance of comfortable and equitable environments for all, reflecting the company’s commitment to equality and accessibility. CenturyPly salutes the Architects, Interior Designers, and Carpenters for their vision of inclusive furniture, proving that beauty is what beauty does. 

Visual Audio has looked to captured this message of inclusivity along with artists such as Purva Parag and television actors like Aakash Talwar and Sumit Singh. They brought the narrative to fruition. 

By spearheading this shift towards inclusive design, the brand hsaid that it is looking to inspire others to follow in their footsteps and champion a future where accessibility and inclusivity are the cornerstones of design.
