Mumbai: Collective Artists Network has announced its first original content slate under HistoryVerse, unveiling what it describes as India’s largest lineup dedicated to Indian history-inspired storytelling. The announcement marks the first major release from Collective Studios, the company’s newly launched unified content studio that brings together original storytelling across formats and platforms.
The slate comprises eight history-inspired titles spanning theatrical films and web series, drawing from figures, eras and cultural traditions that have shaped the Indian subcontinent over centuries. Stories in development are inspired by iconic figures and spiritual traditions including Hanuman, Krishna, Shiva, Shivaji, Durga, Kali and Swami Samarth. The previously released Mahabharat series serves as the foundation for HistoryVerse’s larger vision, demonstrating how historically rooted narratives can be reimagined for contemporary audiences.
Among the newly announced projects, three titles are being developed as theatrical films, while two will take shape as web series, with additional projects currently at various stages of development. The company stated that each project is being built through extensive research and detailed world-building, with a focus on scale, depth and immersive visual storytelling.

Commenting on the launch, Vijay Subramaniam, Founder and Group CEO of Collective Artists Network, said, “I’ve always believed that our folklore is among the richest in the world, and that these stories, woven into the core of our cultural fabric, deserve a global stage. As HistoryVerse grows, our vision goes beyond films and series to include experiences, consumer brands, and gaming; building a larger ecosystem around these stories for audiences to engage with.”
With the launch of HistoryVerse under Collective Studios, Collective Artists Network said it is reinforcing its long-term commitment to building a dedicated storytelling platform rooted in Indian history and mythology. The initiative aims to create narratives that resonate across generations and geographies, while expanding beyond traditional screen formats into a broader entertainment and engagement ecosystem.
