Mumbai :Colors is all set to bring forth a beautiful bond of four sisters through its new launch ”Shastri Sisters”, in its 7pm time band starting from today (21st July) onwards.
The channel had strategically positioned the show in the evening slot to attract more viewership from Non-metros of Hindi Speaking market and the idea of plotting a storyline from a Kanpur background also reflects the same.
The success of this show will strengthen and help Colors to retain the No.3 position which is being snatched away by Life OK very often.
The show is being produced by Shankutalam Telefilms the Production house which created “Madhubala”
The storyline of the show will revolve around the life of four sisters who are there for each other in every walk of life.
The maker of this show Neelima Bajpai got the inspiration of making this show from her own life and the story of the show has been developed in a way that it will connect to the audiences.
Neelima stated that the idea of making this show has come from my own life. We are four sisters and we are very close. Whenever we go for family vacations, my brother in laws feel that it’s a group of Bajpai sisters. I thought of this idea of making a show on sisters who are not picture perfect girls who are not like that who don’t do anything wrong. I wanted to make it real who are imperfect which makes them real and more endearing. It’s a very warm and positive show.
She added ”This thought was there with me and when the channel asked me to come up with something new so I presented two shows to them out of which they liked this”. ”All this happened very quickly. We pitched the show in March and the show is now going on-air in July”.
The initial part of the show was shot in Delhi, They have shot at places like India Gate, Cannaught Place, Railway Station, Central Market and other places.
The characters have been sketched by picking traits from different people, I have picked up traits from lots of people. Some humour has also been added to the show through these characters.
The show will be focusing on the interpersonal relationships of the sisters and touches on very small things and not on very big dramas. The show was structured with the nuances of minute things of human life, to which the audience can relate to.
