New York: David Droga, the renowned creative powerhouse and founding force behind Droga5, will step down as Chief Executive Officer of Accenture Song at the end of the current fiscal year. Effective September 1, 2025, Droga will assume a broader strategic role as Vice Chair of Accenture, while Ndidi Oteh, currently Accenture Song’s Americas Lead, will take over as CEO.
The announcement marks a significant leadership transition at one of the world’s largest and most influential creative and digital transformation firms. Oteh, who joined Accenture in 2011, has played a pivotal role in driving growth for Fortune 500 clients through digital innovation and consumer-centric strategies. As CEO, she will also join Accenture’s Global Management Committee.
Joining her in this new era of leadership is Nick Law, who will become Song’s Creative Strategy & Experience Lead, also earning a seat at the Global Management Committee.
A Legacy of Transformation and Growth
Since taking the helm in 2021, Droga has overseen the bold transformation of Accenture Interactive into Accenture Song, bringing together over 40 acquisitions under a single brand and unified operating model. By weaving together creativity, technology, AI, design, and strategy, he redefined how clients engage and grow in the digital age.
Under his leadership, Song’s revenue surged from $12.5 billion to $19 billion by the end of fiscal year 2024, solidifying its position as a global leader in creative-led business solutions.
Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, praised Droga’s impact, calling him “a once-in-a-generation creative leader and business builder. David has lived our core value of stewardship, building a next generation of leaders who will continue evolving Song,” Sweet said. “His brilliance is matched only by his generosity, integrity, and belief in others.”
The Road Ahead
Droga expressed deep confidence in his successors, stating, “With such extraordinary leadership in place, it felt like the right time. Ndidi, Sean, and Nick will continue building on Song’s legacy of innovation, creativity, and performance.”
He also reflected on his career with gratitude and optimism: “After 30 plus years of leaping, I am ready to catch my breath. Being Vice Chair will allow me to contribute in new ways—thinking, daydreaming, advising, mentoring, and yes, sleeping-in-ing.”
Droga founded Droga5 in 2006, which quickly rose to global acclaim for groundbreaking campaigns for brands like The New York Times, UNICEF, JPMorgan Chase, Meta, and Tourism Australia. Accenture acquired the agency in 2019, a move that laid the foundation for Song’s future.
Over his storied career, Droga has collected over 30 “Agency of the Year” titles, two “Agency of the Decade” honors, and remains the most awarded creative in Cannes Lions history. In 2020, he received the Lion of St. Mark, Cannes’ highest honor, for lifetime achievement.
Now, as he moves into a new role, David Droga’s influence continues to ripple across the industry—less as a frontman, and more as a visionary guiding the next wave of leadership and innovation at Accenture.
