The allotment of MPEG-2 slots for the 44th e-auction of DD Free Dish is finally over and 53 out of the 54 slots are sold to the highest bidder.
The Bucket A+ channel slots are awarded to Shemaroo GEC, Dangal, Big Magic and ABZY Cool. B4U Movies, B4U Kadak, Cinema TV, Enterr10, Abzy Movies, Abzy Dhakad, Movie Plus, Surya Movies, Manoranjan TV and Maha movies are bid winners in the Bucket A- all Movie Hindi Channels category.
Surya Bhojpuri, B4U Bhojpuri, Big Ganga, and B4U Music won the MPEG-2 slot in Bucket B which includes All Music (Hindi) Channels, Sports (Hindi) Channels, GEC (Bhojpuri), Movies (Bhojpuri) and Teleshopping (Hindi) channels.
In Category C that has News and Current Affairs (Hindi, English and Punjabi) Channels successful bidders were Market info: successful bidders in news category Aaj Tak, ABP News, Zee News, R Bharat, India News, NDTV, India TV, News 18 India, Tez, News24, TV9 Bharatvarsh, News Nation and Zee Hindustan.
DD Free Dish currently offers 88 TV channels in MPEG2 slots where 34 channels are from Doordarshan. The auction was for the remaining 54 slots. Bid winners will be allotted MPEG-2 slots of DD Free Dish DTH Platform for an annual term for the period – 01.04.2020 to 31.03.2021.
