DoubleVerify enhances measurement for Spotify Video Ads to reinforce media quality standards

DoubleVerify, a software platform for digital media measurement, has announced a significant integration with Spotify, enabling advertisers to measure fraud and viewability on video campaigns delivered through Spotify’s self-serve advertising platform, Spotify Ads Manager. This expansion underscores DV’s commitment to providing independent measurement solutions that empower advertisers to optimize their media spend.

Mark Zagorski, CEO of DoubleVerify, stated, “We are driven to ensure media spend is protected and performance is optimized wherever marketers reach their audiences. By expanding our measurement coverage on Spotify, we empower advertisers to confidently assess and enhance the performance of their video campaigns on the world’s most popular audio streaming service.”

The integration offers several key benefits for advertisers on Spotify, including:

  • Fraud Measurement: DV identifies and combats various types of fraud and invalid traffic (IVT), ensuring that ads are seen by real people and not bots or hijacked devices.
  • Viewability Verification: DV provides robust viewability metrics, allowing advertisers to determine if their ads have the opportunity to be seen and assessing their impact.

Chloe Wix, Global Director of Product Marketing at Spotify, commented, “While users come to Spotify primarily for audio content, we’ve witnessed a 44% year-over-year increase in video streams. We are excited to enhance our partnership with DoubleVerify, an industry leader in media quality measurement. This integration will provide our advertisers with greater transparency and effectiveness in reaching their target audiences.”

With this new functionality, brands utilizing Spotify Ads Manager can leverage DV’s fraud and viewability insights across both desktop and mobile in-app placements. Advertisers will have access to detailed measurement data and insights through DV Pinnacle®, the company’s unified service and analytics reporting platform, allowing them to monitor and optimize the performance of their Spotify ad campaigns effectively.
