Mumbai: With the commitment to deliver differential content, The EPIC channel is set present a unique offering. Starting 2nd May, the viewers will embark on an era of the critically acclaimed NFDC movies by renowned directors on The EPIC Channels’ ‘Summer Theatre’.
Amongst them are ‘Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda’ and Mammo’ by Shyam Bengal, ‘Naseem’ and ‘Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Daastan’ by Saeed Akhtar Mira.
The variety of the films showcased is rooted in brilliance and features captivating stories giving viewers a chance to commemorate on some of the everlasting but long forgotten slice of life movies.
All these films range across different genres and have won various national and international awards at festivals. The movies boast of great star casts with some of them featuring Om Puri, Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Anil Kapoor amongst others.
The historic movie marathon on The EPIC Channel starting from May 2nd will be aired on weekdays at 9 pm.
The EPIC Channel is India’s first genre-specific Hindi entertainment channel and will showcase content covering genres ranging from action, drama, comedy to narrative non-fiction. The channel celebrates India’s heritage by creating unique and original content within the Indian history, folklore and mythology genre, using a very contemporary story telling format.
