Mumbai: Firstpost, India’s leading digital news platform known for its exemplary journalism is gearing up to bring a riveting treat for tech aficionados in the country, in collaboration with YouTube sensation, Sahil Khattar. Both the entities are coming together to introduce OPPO’s sub-brand – Realme and its premier smartphone dubbed as Realme 1, which is set to debut in India on 15th May, 2018.
Executing Firstpost’s beguiling idea, Sahil will take to the Mumbai streets to conduct a blind test with the public. Sahil will be seen comparing the Realme’s upcoming device with that of Mumbaikars’ current handsets. The video will showcase him unboxing and reviewing the Realme phone, before he embarks on his journey to challenge the city folks. He will be seen challenging people to compare their phones’ specifications including speed, camera, display, price, battery life and more, with that of Realme’s device. On losing the challenge, the Mumbaikar will be required to complete an entertaining dare like eating chillies, amongst others. The blind test for speed of the devices will be conducted using AnTuTu – the most popular benchmarking app for Android devices.
Known for introducing exceptional smartphones in the market, Oppo had recently announced the launch of its new ‘Made in India’ online-only sub-brand Realme, which will mark its debut on Amazon India. With this, Realme becomes the only brand to launch its first product on Amazon. Realme 1 will be available on the site from 15th May, 2018 onwards.
