Mumbai : After a stint of more than six years, Gaurav Seth, Senior Vice-President and Head-Marketing at Sony Entertainment Television, has put in his papers.
Sources close to the development confirmed the news and also stated that Gaurav Seth is likely to start his own venture.
It may be noted that the development comes close on the heels of the news that Danish Khan is returning to SET as its business head. Seth who was serving the company as SVP, marketing, Sony Max was announced the marketing head of SET after Khan’s exit by end of 2012.
Though his last date could not be ascertained, Seth is currently serving his notice period. With his wide industry experience, Seth has led the brand to newer heights. At SET, he was responsible for the marketing and communication function.
Prior to Sony, Seth was working as Business Head with Vyas Giannetti Creative Sports wherein he was responsible for business growth.
He has also worked with Zee Telefilms (presently ZEEL) as VP, Marketing, and also Indian Cricket League, which is a venture of the Subhash Chandra led Essel Group, as VP.
He started off his career as Marketing Manager with ESPN STAR Sports for about six years.
