Mumbai: Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG), the diversified engineering and design-led conglomerate with a 128-year legacy, has reiterated its commitment to its core purpose—to pioneer progress for generations—through a fresh wave of media-led storytelling and purpose-driven initiatives. The Group unveiled a new brand film titled “Did I do something new today?”, a creative expression of its renewed focus on curiosity, innovation, and impact.
One year after the rollout of its refreshed brand identity, anchored in a bold purple that represents dynamism, modernity, confidence, and aspiration, Godrej continues to embed its purpose across business verticals. From advanced engineering contributions to national progress, to design-led consumer innovations, GEG aims to seamlessly blend heritage with future-forward ambition.
The new film, created by Lowe Lintas, brings this ethos to life through the provocative question, “Did I do something new today?” It encourages individuals and organisations to embrace daily curiosity as the catalyst for meaningful change. Drawing inspiration from the Group’s history—from India’s first springless lock to breakthroughs in aerospace—the film positions curiosity as the seed for lasting progress.

Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director, Godrej Enterprises Group, and a fourth-generation leader, has been instrumental in steering this purpose-first transformation. “Progress always begins with a simple spark of curiosity. We want to draw inspiration from our rich legacy and the visionary philosophy of my grandfather Naval Godrej, who believed that real progress begins only when we challenge ourselves to do something new every day. This new film is an invitation to pause, reflect, and ask ourselves whether we stretched our imagination today even in the smallest way. When we nurture this mindset collectively, innovation becomes natural, and purpose is lived every day,” she said.
The Group’s purpose is also reflected in tangible commitments: generating 50% of revenue from sustainable products by 2032, expanding biodiversity conservation, delivering frictionless consumer experiences, and advancing engineering excellence across sectors. Its businesses have been driving impact—from Interio’s new identity and omnichannel retail experience, to Godrej Appliances’ recognition for human- and planet-centric design, to contributions in India’s space missions and development of clean energy solutions like zinc-based batteries.

Expanding on the philosophy behind the new film, Sumeet Bhojani, Head – Brand & Strategic Insights, Godrej Enterprises Group, noted, “This film attempts to capture the cultural shift we have been driving across the organisation. One year after our repositioning, it reflects our renewed focus on curiosity, pioneering spirit and creativity. ‘Did I do something new today?’ is not just a question; it is a mindset that propels innovation at Godrej Enterprises Group. By reconnecting with our purpose, we want to encourage people to take that first step toward shaping a better tomorrow.”
Founded in 1897 by Ardeshir and Pirojsha Godrej, the Group has long championed trusteeship, innovation-led nation-building, and sustainable growth. Today, GEG continues to pursue bold aspirations including doubling energy productivity, reducing carbon intensity by 60% by 2032, scaling biodiversity-led development, and redefining modern living through design-led, sustainable solutions.
As Godrej writes its next chapter, its unwavering purpose—rooted in imagination, innovation, and stewardship—continues to guide its mission of pioneering progress for generations to come.
