Bengaluru: Greaves Electric Mobility, a player in India’s electric mobility sector, has announced the appointment of Samarpita Banerjee as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Samarpita brings over two decades of rich experience in human resources, organisation, and leadership development.
In her new role, Samarpita will lead the advancement of Greaves Electric Mobility’s overall HR strategy and administration services. This includes building scalable people practices that support business growth and transformation across the company’s manufacturing, technology, and sales functions. She will report to Vikas Singh, Managing Director, as the company scales its operations and advances its mission of delivering sustainable and intelligent mobility solutions.
Prior to this appointment, Samarpita served as Director of Human Resources at Carrier Corporation, where she led HR strategy for a high-growth digital, engineering, and business services organisation, along with being the HR partner for the APAC Technology organisation. She has also held senior HR leadership roles at reputed organisations including Wipro, Diageo, Solera, and Novozymes. Her experience spans IT, automotive, HVAC, and other consumer products industries.
Samarpita will operate from Greaves Electric Mobility’s headquarters in Bengaluru at IndiQube Miniforest. She holds an MBA in Human Resources and a master’s degree in Econometrics, combining strong analytical depth with hands-on leadership experience in building high-performing teams. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys painting and reading and is a strong advocate of a people-first approach that aligns with the culture at Greaves Electric Mobility, which values curiosity, inclusion, and continuous learning.
With 17+ years in EV design and manufacturing, presence across E2W and E3W, a multi-location manufacturing footprint, and a pan-India dealership, this appointment comes at a time when Greaves Electric Mobility is scaling its operations and building future-ready leadership and organisational capabilities.
