Gutenberg becomes the world’s first fully AI-native global marketing agency

Mumbai: Gutenberg, the award-winning AI-powered marketing agency, has announced a strategic partnership with CambrianEdge.ai, the world’s first human-led, AI-native marketing platform—marking a defining milestone in the company’s full-scale AI transformation.

The partnership caps a two-year evolution that has reshaped Gutenberg’s two-decade-old organisation into a fully AI-powered, pod-based operating model. The transformation was led by Amardeep Singh, Co-Founder and President of Gutenberg, and his leadership team, who anticipated the challenges now confronting marketing organisations worldwide—teams overwhelmed by manual processes as clients demand faster execution, sharper insights, and measurable ROI.

“We worked closely with CambrianEdge.ai in their beta phase so they could help us redesign how an AI-powered agency could rethink its operational side from the ground up on a native-AI platform,” Singh said. “We didn’t want to bolt AI onto existing processes.”

The announcement comes at a moment of profound industry change. According to Gartner’s CMO Survey, 65% of CMOs expect AI to reshape their roles within two years, while 71% face flat or shrinking budgets. Yet AI progress remains inconsistent—McKinsey reports that while 72% of companies use AI in at least one function, only 6% achieve scaled, measurable impact.

The Great Retraining

Gutenberg’s AI transformation hinged not on tools, but on culture. More than 100 employees across the US, UK, Germany, India, Singapore, and other markets underwent intensive AI training over 24 months, mastering prompt engineering, creative automation, data analysis, and campaign optimisation.

Beginning January 2026, Gutenberg will roll out a suite of AI-led offerings, including consulting services on operationalising AI workflows, frameworks for AI-led video and SEO/GEO, and enterprise-focused executive briefings.

Pods Replace Hierarchies

Recognising that traditional agency structures cannot support AI-driven workflows, Gutenberg has reorganised into cross-functional “pods” that combine strategy, creative, media, analytics, and forward deployed engineers (FDEs) within a unified AI-enabled operating model powered by CambrianEdge.ai.

CambrianEdge.ai’s platform integrates collaboration, content creation, video, SEO/AEO optimisation, media planning, social activation, and performance analytics—removing friction between ideation and execution.

“We’re eliminating the silos that create drag—adding a new layer of FDE to understand AI workflows for automation and processes,” Amardeep Singh said. “When strategists, creatives, analysts and FDEs work in one AI-powered environment, execution velocity accelerates dramatically.”

A Marketing Industry Under Pressure

Gartner reports that 63% of CMOs face stagnant budgets and rising expectations for commercial impact. Against this backdrop, AI-native operating models are emerging as the only scalable path forward.

“The traditional agency economics continues to erode, while AI-native platforms create new operating possibilities. With 81% of CMOs concerned about AI-related legal and reputational risks (PwC), the partnership emphasizes a human-in-the-loop governance model.

Gutenberg is now applying its AI transformation playbook both internally and through advisory engagements with enterprise clients.
