Mumbai: Wondrlab, India’s platform-first martech network, has appointed Hemant Shringy as Chief Creative Officer and Managing Partner, signalling its intent to place creativity firmly at the centre of its growth strategy.
Shringy, who has held leadership roles at FCB, BBDO, Ogilvy, and DDB, brings over two decades of experience in building culturally resonant campaigns for brands such as Ariel, Whisper, WhatsApp, Visa, eBay, Vodafone, Amul, Tata Motors, Reliance, and Star Sports. He has over 200 awards to his credit, including Cannes Lions Grand Prix and Golds, D&AD, One Show, LIA, Spikes Asia, and Effies, and was named Creative Person of the Year, South Asia in 2016 and 2021.
At Wondrlab, Shringy will lead brand transformation initiatives across the funnel, integrating content, commerce, CRM, data-led storytelling, influencer marketing, automation, and AI. The network, which has grown to a 550+ member team in four years, has expanded its capabilities through acquisitions and homegrown tech platforms.
Amit Akali, Co-founder of Wondrlab, said the appointment brings “the right balance of craft, creative audacity, effectiveness, and empathy,” adding that Shringy is well placed to lead the agency’s next evolution. Co-founder Rakesh Hinduja called Shringy’s work “bold, effective, and rooted in culture,” aligning with the company’s mission to fuse creativity with platform-first thinking and technology.
Shringy’s career highlights include Ariel’s #ShareTheLoad campaign, ranked the world’s No. 1 by WARC for two years, and India’s first White Pencil at D&AD Impact. Speaking on his new role, he said: “I believe creativity should shape every part of the marketing funnel. Amit Akali will continue as Co-founder and Chief Mentor, focusing on strategic guidance and client relationships while prioritizing his health.
With Shringy’s leadership and Akali’s mentorship, Wondrlab aims to push platform-first, AI-enabled, insight-driven work that is bold, scalable, and culturally sharp.
